The whole reason behind us going to New Jersey was for a memorial service for my great aunt, Janet DeSimone. Aunt Janet was one person that I always admired. She had a heart that you don't find often. And of the only people who nearly mirrors her to me is her brother, my grandfather, Pop. My pop ended up having a problem with his lungs Saturday evening while we were at my Great Aunt Dianne's house. The adults all packed up and headed to the hospital with pop while kids all stayed back. The rest of the weekend ended up in the air with Pop being in the hospital with not a lot of answers, and our family really was amazing in making sure us kids still had a good time while out there. So we got to bond with my Aunt Dianne and Uncle Ed Saturday playing local games and eating Jersey Pizza, and then Sunday my other aunt Diane and my dad took us to Point Pleasant (which will be another post). So this trip did not turn out how we planned, but we are are continuing to pray hard, and enjoy the super awesome memories we still had while visiting one of my most favorite places in the world.
Earlier is April my family took a trip to the museum in Dearborn and it was the first time I got to bring my new camera and had a bit of fun with it.
I got my new camera, and on a day like this where you're reaching upwards of 70 degrees in Michigan, You gotta get outside. So here are a few pictures of the Detroit River and Elizabeth Park.
