God's plan is always there. Whether or not we are choosing to go down in it often cuts in any ways. Every thing I planned for the summer was quickly swept away with the passing of my grandfather earlier this summer. I had a big trip planned to California, a big trip to Florida and trips to the west coast of Michigan and then New York City and all of these plans. Plans that are all canceled now. I was supposed to be in Los Angeles but ended up at a funeral for one of my most favorite people ever. I was supposed to be going to New York City but ended up driving home from New Jersey waiting on news that my pop would be better. Little did I know. Little do we ever know what's waiting around the corner. We can make all the plans that we want but God will be in control at all times working in ways that make us angry, or sad or even joyful. But we have to accept and move with it. Move with Gods current, not against it.
So my big summer of travel has turned into a big summer of trusting God when things seem to be getting ripped from you at every turn. Trying to just be okay and wait to see what else God has to say. Because despite all the sadness and canceled plans, and stress there are still so many things to be okay about. After all I posted a whole list of 108 things to be happy about. I start a new school in the fall and I get to work an awesome job all summer leading a camp, plus having hands down the most amazing family a person could ask for.
I was talking with my Nana the other day and she mentioned how you she "pencils" things in. Because nothing is set in stone and that you make plans but God writes the steps.
So I guess what Im trying to say is that despite things may be going completley wrong, and not at what you want is that God has bigger plans and he just needs you to be patient and work hard and focus on now in the mean time.
