So that winter weather I was doubting..... It came in form of hail and grey skies. Part of me loves it. But the part of my that has learned to love the warm winter and adapting to this California like Christmas time is crying and wanting to hide from this horrible horrible coldness. (You see my indecisive problem now?)
Again today consisted of unhealthy food, makeup, and coloring more than necessary. ( It's addicting and I cant stop myself.)
We ended up braving target today and thats about the craziest thing we managed to get done.
Valentines day things are starting to go up. Like the cute candies and what not. Even though I haven't had a reason to love valentines day yet...I still love it, and the pretty presents and decorations and little things to make winter less harsh and a little more hopeful of spring coming in the near-ish future. Tomorrow I plan to have pictures of my room up now that it is unchristmassy if thats even a thing.
Already day three and I am behind on uploading posts.... I know I know....But here it is.
Buuuuut Today consisted of waking up late, doing makeup and eating pizza with family in town. So nothing major to talk about other than My blog header is updated for this winter weather we are expecting tomorrow. Also absolute FAIL at cake pops. My goals of a trophy wife are crippling before my eyes....
Today I woke up groggy and I think i am home alone... But Is okay because I got my new pajama on, a good book to read, and a blog post to start writing. Wait no... Someone is home....
The Day After Christmas as a child was always a bit of a weird day. Because the excitement and thrill of actual christmas is over, but you still had all your toys to play with or Hello Kitty tea cup alarm clock to set up (One of my most favorite christmas presents I ever received). Now that i'm older, part of me still wishes we could it all over again. But Really the things I got can be and should be used everyday for, well, a long time.
Christmas is very often looked over by the true meaning, but what seems to bother me the most is that people tend to look over it all year. Christ' birth is a life altering event many people only allow to effect them twice a year. Christmas Eve, and Christmas.
okay rant over.....
Any ways, what I like to do on the "Post-Christmas" day is tidy up, have my room organized and put together. Today I have more than a healthy amount of laundry to do and cookies to eat.. Okay maybe i don't HAVE to eat cookies, but might as well right. My house is filled with cookies, and scottish shortbread. Which is half good and half dangerous to my health.
Now...The rest of the day was spent in between my house, ulta, and my pajamas. Way too much of Vampire Diaries cause why not.
Other than that, Christmas decorations are all down, and I will try my very best to have pictures posted tomorrow night on day 3!
So some people may be thinking, "Allie you idiot it is already Christmas," And a lot of magazines and apps started the 12 days of Christmas 12 days ago, and in reality the traditional thing starts today and ends on January 6th also known as "Little Christmas" And it acknowledges when the wise men arrived to see Jesus.
Now to the first day of my 12 days of Christmas.
Today of course started yesterday when my brothers and I received our annual Christmas Eve pajamas. (Which took an impressive amount of years to catch on to what our first present was) We then all went to bed and I don't know if it was my anxiety, restless legs, excitement for christmas or an intense combination of the previously listed I could NOT sleep.
Now back to today. I was woken up by my younger brother at around 7 this morning and in my hazy fog of the early morning I waited on the steps like I have for the last 18 years of Christmas's. Every years I'm reminded how blessed I am with such an amazing family, amazing experiences, and amazing generosity from my family and I am so thankful not only for my fun things I received but for the fact Jesus was brought into this world to save not only me but everyone.
After we opened all of our presents and cleaned up a bit we had our traditional Christmas breakfast of Cinnamon roles and scrambled eggs. (Yes. every year) we then got ready and I got to use my fun little makeup things. like my new Friends Gwen Stefani, and Anastasia from beverly hills.....hehehe
we are also so blessed to be able to spend christmas with our family who lives near by and spend it with them and eat seriously good food.
Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas.... And I will write again tomorrow.
