And the first semester is OVER!
In my last 24 hours of this semester I managed to get a nice paper cut and cut it quite close to my deadline for my English class. But I did it and Im done. This semester has been quite an interesting situation as a whole. Trying to manage a new way of working (Which means working hard!!!!) Figuring out my life for the moment and not relying so heavily on other peoples opinions and thoughts.
Now this post is a mess but I am just SO relieved to have a break and be done. And that also means Christmas is NEXT FRIDAY.
It is a fantastic feeling to be able to sit down at my computer and not panic over what projects I should be working on, or papers I should be writing. I get to write blog posts and watch more youtube videos than necessary.
So thats all for my rambled random post. Happy Winter Break, And Merry Christmas, Or whatever holiday you're celebrating this season.
P.S my best friend is coming back from Washington state and I'm super duper happy about that.
Okay, I don't live in Seattle, but the title is still catchy...
So this is something I have been struggling with myself recently. I have not been able to fall asleep, get comfortable, or stay asleep. My restless legs and anxiety DO NOT mix well. So I have been trying a few different strategies to fix this problem that can be beyond frustrating.
1. Do busy work before bed.
-For me this means, cleaning makeup brushes, cleaning my room, clean out my purse, etc. Things you can do while your brain can be else wear. Get those thoughts out of your head so you're not laying in my bed thinking for 4 hours.
2. Take a shower/Bath.
-Now this is a simple one. Run a hot shower, dim the lights if you can and just be calm. Again this gives time for your brain to settle, helping you fall asleep sooner.
3.Turn the stupid phone off.
-Now this is hard for me. I will go on it to check emails or blog stuff and all of a sudden I'm two years deep on instagram of some person in Iowa. Lie seriously. I would recommend Putting it up half hour or more before bed, and leave it plugged in somewhere that you can't just roll over in bed and turn it on.
-I know, I know. Im probably just as lazy, or even lazier than the average person. Nothing is more ideal than cuddling on the couch with a cute winter movie, but some times you just got to get up and move to burn off that energy. I hate running, so I usually Dance and just jump around, sometime I even move furniture. This helps with the jump feet/ Restless legs.
5. Read a book before bed.
-Whether its a boring novel, or a children's book. Pick something up and read a few pages. I find this to do a great job of winding me down in the evening.
So starting on December 15th, I will be doing 12 Days of Christmas, Daily Blogging. Basically It will be a daily journal entry. I will post pictures, and I will try my best to make it interesting but no promises. If you want to be updated on that or any of my other posts go up to the menu button and click on the contact me page and fill out the information panel and I will email you when my posts are up!
Thanks SO much to everyone who reads and I hope you're enjoying my posts. Feel free to share and leave a comment with any thoughts.
I get plenty of compliments when I am wearing red lipstick (Especially by the little kiddos at the daycare I work at). People always tell me they can't pull it off.. So I thought I would put together a list of my favorites and ones to maybe start with!
So these are some of my favorite red lipsticks, and I hope this guide helps, and these also would make awesome stocking stuffers.
