I am not one for crafts usually because every time I try them, they never turn out very cute, or as cute as that pinterest pages made it seem. They turn out to be either vary more difficult than expected or takes four days. But with this one, you don't need to be very crafty at all really. Plus it makes a perfect gift for someone you love, or decoration for a classroom, bedroom, etc.

What you you need is:

-Glossy Mod Podge

-Wooden letters (I used the small ones from target, they also sell big ones which would work well too)

-Tissue paper (I recommend the packs that have common colors to keep the theme)

-Paint brush

-And paint (optional)

Start by applying a thin layer of the Mod Podge to make sure the tissue paper has a base to stick to.

For the ombré letters, I started with the dark pink at the top and worked my way down to the white. BUT I would actually recommend going the opposite direction (Start with white on the bottom then work your way up) so the darker colors over lay the lighter ones.

Once you put down your first layer begin applying the Mod Podge on again, and then smooth it out evenly like I did on the D below!

Above is the example of the random tissue paper!

Once you finish the first layer, let it sit and do another layer the same way. Once that dries you can paint the edges to give it a complete look! As you can tell the bottom white part got a bit messy so later I went in and touched it up with some white nail polish because I was too lazy to redo it.

And here is the finished product! Above is the ombré "A" and the random "D"! And below is the Ombré "A" and "D"!

Now you can do you and your significant others initials, your own initials if your feeling the self love thing this year, or even a family member or good friend! You can put them on your mantel, book shelf, dresser, desk, hang them on the way. The options are nearly endless!

I hope you guys love these as much as I do! And if you give them a try, share them and tag me!!
