I am a Christmas movie junkie. The moment thanksgiving is over I cant seem to turn off the movies. Whether its stupid cheesy Hallmark movies or the most classic ones. Here is a list of some movies I love!
Simply one of the cutest Christmas movies... ever... It make me crave the english country like you wouldn't believe. Plus Jude Law isn't hard to look at. Its just one of those unexpected movies that you can watch endlessly through out the christmas season.
This is an older film (1954 to be exact) and its completely enchanting. The dancing, the outfits the music. It is so unlike any other christmas movie. And thats why its one of my favorites.
The Grinch. (The live version)
No explanation needed for this one. Jim Carrey is the best, and theres actually quite a good message behind the crazy make up and costumes. I have preferred the live version to the cartoon one for as long as I can remember. The colors and Jim Carrey acting make for not only super relatable memes but a very relevant message to how Christmas is celebrated.
A Christmas Story.
It is a classic story that uses all the glue...on purpose. This is one my family will put on multiple times a week in the Christmas season. It is our absolute favorite and we quote it all year. So you can imagine how much we laugh when I actually used all the glue on purpose the other day.
I mean come on. Its a modern Christmas classic. You have Will Ferrell, Santa, New York City, and The worlds best cup of coffee. I mean honestly do you need anymore than that? ( No. The answer is no.)
12 Dates of Christmas
This is one of those ABC Family originals. Its cheesy, and adorable and I absolutely love to cuddle up in bed and put it on. Its about a single woman who keeps reliving Christmas Eve over and over again. She manages to fall in Love, Fall out of Love, Help other people find love all just by slowing down and reliving the same day over and over until she gets it right.
Another one of those romance christmas classics that should be on everyones movie queue. I have actually only watched it once last season but Its so heartwarming and classic that you cant pass up an opportunity to watch it.
A Charlie Brown Christmas
My family watches this one together every single year and will continue to do so. Of course it has to be the original one with the little tree and piano! A Charlie Brown Christmas is a movie that goes beyond all the shopping and city lights and a big blow out Christmas and brings it all back together to the main reason for the season. Jesus.
Though as a child this was like my biggest fear, now its one of the funniest classics. The idea of being left home alone as a kid was a little freaky. Someone trying to break in? Well I don't know What I would do. I used to lay awake at night as a kid planning what I would do if that happened. But the older I get the funnier it is and the more I love it. Plus if you're into design and decor, that gorgeous house is absolutely amazing.
A Christmas Carol (With Jim Carrey)
Haven't watched this one in years but always a good story and again, love me some Jim Carrey. A Christmas Carol is probably the most widely appreciated Christmas movie or story. Its exists in so many different forms. So many variations but Its another one of those humbling stories that brings you back to the root of Christmas.
