My first day of spring break this year was a snow day for almost everyone in the area..... Welcome to Michigan...
While everyone else in my family still has work and school, Spring break wasn't going to be a big vacation to Florida unfortunately.... So my mom and I decided on adventuring across the border to London, Ontario for a day trip. Before I shre the pictures, here are a few things I noticed while I was in Canada.. 1. People are MUCH nicer. Holding doors for people, smiling as if it comes natural, and everyone is willing to answer any questions you have. 2. Not everybody is glued to their phone. My mom and I went to a pub for lunch and the entire time we were there we saw two people get out on their phone for a moment before putting it away again. Conversation was happening and kids coloring. 3. Their money is funny & Multi colored. It doesn't rip, and it much pretty than the bland off green/beige money here in the states. 4.Pricey. Everything was more expensive even with the money exchange rate. 5.NO TEA!!! Okay if you know me, you know I had ice tea on me at ALL times. I drink more than someone probably should. Everywhere we went and asked if they had tea, they gave us funny looks. They offered to brew hot tea and put it on ice, even McDonald's said they may be getting sweat tea sometime this year and probably not unsweetened. How sad. Overall, I was very impressed with the country and the people and CANNOT wait to head back to London.
