Okay man. I may have found one of my favorite places. Mackinac Island is hands down one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. There was never a dull moment. and the views were never not beautiful. We took a full day to head over to the island and it was such a unique experience. the horses and bikes everywhere, the old homes, and the opportunity to just go put your feet in the water whenever you want. We got so sun burned, our feet hurt so bad, and we took every opportunity to go sit by the water that we could and as Im writing this I just want nothing more than to go back to the incredibly clear water and pretty rocks off the shore. We biked around the Island (All 8.2 miles) and every moment of it was filled with laughter and beautiful views. The water was unbelievably clear, and we never hesitated to take a break and go sit at the water and put our feet in. As I'm writing this I'm missing the trees, and the rocks, and the boats. Everything about this island has me hooked. 2/3 of us got super burned, and our feet hurt, and we walked a near 15 miles that day but I wouldn't have it any other way. Nothing is better than Pure Michigan. All the pictures above were actually taken in the city, but it was the morning of the Island day. The sign, a coast guard ship for my Grandpa, the ferry, and the $5 shoes I had to buy from the family dollar in the UP because I only brought a pair of sandals that were pealing apart. Above is just a tiny glimpse at how gorgeous the bike ride is. The island the water, the everything. I want to go back just to ride a bike around.
