Okay this a new family favorite that happened this year. My mom is the scottish one and she firmly beleived there is no reason to change or alter our classic recipe. But my dad pushed for this idea and we have created a new tradition with these things. So we made our classic shortbread and then added a little twist to create these tasty little treats. Im pretty sure Santa would enjoy these easy little cookies as well...
Ingedients: Cookies: 1 Pound of Butter (4 Sticks) 1 Cup of Sugar 4 1/2 Cups of Flour A Jelly of your choice Glaze: (I Just eyeballed this, and this is approximatly what I did) 1/4 cup Powdered sugar 2tbs of Milk Instructions: (Be sure to check out photos below) Preheat oven to 350' F Cream Sugar and butter until smooth Mix in the flour a little bit at a time When mostly mixed in Knead it with you hands on a floured counter Then ball up small little bits of dough, set on pan then press thumb in gently. For the jelly part, we used two spoons to help keep the amount of jelly reasonable. once they are all ready, put in oven for about 15 minutes Once they are out, you can drizzle glaze Let set
