I had no plans for nanowrimo this year. I had been burned out from last November and hadn't written since. So what I settled with was rewriting an old story I wrote years ago. And It ended up completely transforming as I wrote it. And I know it will be transformed again, reworked and written better. But for now here's the book blurb, a few quotes, mood boards, and a playlist inspired by my 5th novel, The Summer Games.
I love Nanowrimo (National Novel Writing Month) Its helped me write two novels, and I think its a great way to get out of a slump. However, im going to argue with myself here a little bit over it. Some downsides to it that I have found and what I'm doing instead this year.
toLiving through a pandemic is surreal. It almost feels like meeting a celebrity because this will be talked about for years and years. Its something that we planned on telling future generations about right from the get go. It has taken everything we have known and tossed it upside down, out the window, and down a cliff. And thats really how this year has gone. However sometimes you need to rebreak a bone to heal it. you need these harsh reminders on how precious life is to get out there and really live your life. (with a mask on of course)
